Travel Soccer is for the “skilled” soccer player interested in playing at a higher level of competition than can be offered playing in our recreational programs. Travel players are usually recommended by their recreational soccer coaches based on the child’s skills, ability and most importantly, their interest in playing Travel Soccer. If you are not involved in our recreational soccer program and would like to be involved in Travel Soccer please e-mail email@example.com. Players must truly make a commitment to the program and attend the games and practices. Players do not have to be students in the Cairo-Durham School district. We try to field U10 to U17 teams for both boys and girls. We have two travel seasons, Spring and Fall.
The Spring Travel Season usually starts practice indoors in March and moves outdoors in April. There are 1 to 2 practices a week per the coach’s discretion and there are 10 games; 5 home and 5 away in the Capital District. The games begin at the end of April and end the last week in June.
The Fall Travel Season usually begins practice at the end of August. There are 2 to 3 practices a week per the coach’s discretion and there are usually 8 to 10 games held in the Capital District. The games are held on Sunday afternoons. They begin in September and usually end the last week of October or the first week of November.
The cost for each season varies by age division plus the cost of the uniform. Prices can be found on the signup sheets for each season. Uniforms may be used for more than one season. Participation in the fund raiser is also required.
